Students develop a clear, confident introduction that highlights who they are and what they offer. Grounded in WindPath’s DEVELOP pillar, this session helps them articulate their strengths in a concise, compelling way.
Speaking with Companies and Building Sustainable Networks
Instead of asking for jobs at booths, students take inspiration from WindPath’s CONNECT pillar to learn how to start meaningful conversations, ask smart questions, and build authentic, lasting connections to boost both their learning and future opportunities.

Networking doesn’t end when the conference does – it begins! Students learn simple, effective habits to keep new connections “warm,” from thank-you messages to smart LinkedIn engagement, along with practical systems to organize contacts and follow-ups.

WindPath’s “Find Your WindPath” introduces students to exciting career opportunities in the rapidly growing offshore wind industry. Through an engaging workshop covering everything from turbine mechanics to diverse career paths including engineering, data science, environmental science, and finance, students explore how they can contribute to clean energy solutions while building rewarding careers through a blend of theory and in-class interactive activities. Perfect for STEM programs, environmental clubs, and career exploration initiatives looking to learn more about the wind industry from a real professional and/or inspire the next generation of renewable energy professionals.
